Adam J. Sedia was born in 1984 and lives in Lake County, Indiana, where was born and raised.

Unable to decide between science and the arts, he received a B.S. in chemistry and a B.A. in English from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2006. He received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago in 2009. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 2009 and also became licensed in Illinois in 2014. He practices law with the firm of Hoeppner, Wagner & Evans in Merrillville and Valparaiso, Indiana, where he focuses primarily on commercial and business litigation. His particular focus is on appeals, and he has briefed and argued dozens of cases before the Indiana Supreme Court, the Indiana Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He also served as president of the Lake County Bar Associations, Indiana’s second largest local bar association, in 2017.

He first became interested in poetry when studying classic English literature in high school. An interest in classical music and the use of poetry in art songs further developed his interest, and he began writing poems in earnest starting in 2005. His poems have been published in several print and online journals. These and others he has collected in two volumes, The Spring’s Autumn (2013) and Inquietude (2016). He plans to release a third book later in 2018.

In addition to writing, he composes music, which may be heard on his YouTube channel.

He lives with his wife, Ivana, and their one-year-old son.
