Color streams burst brightly in a flourish of elation,
Each to soar and cover night’s condoning, lofty, canvas –
Livening this moment, man-made shooting stars’ vibration
Emanate our gladness to be living. Will they preface
Broad displays of kindness to complete this hopeful painting?
Righteous souls endeavor, far and wide, to sow their virtue,
As the air of conscience faces stifling fumes of hating
That have thrived on wastelands, born of selfishness, and surge to
Insult heaven… Wisdom’s lavish gardens wait to follow
On Tomorrow’s outlook – Will our New Year joy converge to
Nurture goodwill’s blooming? Spurring change or proving hollow?
