‘CCP Members in World Organizations’ by Damian Robin

.

in reference to an Epoch Times’ exposé

We’re in the loop, we’re up the sleeve,
we’re near the Party’s armpit.
As high rank cadres we can’t leave,
we know too much, God damn it !

Hard working, in-the-know, we spy
in worldwide institutions.
Nobody knows more on the sly
about their constitutions,

About their latest data flow—
we know all that, you bet-yah—
We’re one step down from CEO
and that’s our raison d’etre—

To seldom show up in full sight
And douse the flames before a fight.

The Red Chinese are everywhere. They practically dictated the World Health Organization’s responses to the Wuhan Flu pandemic.

Good use of colloquialisms and a form suited to light verse. This makes the speakers sound like they’re offering confidential candor. Thanks for spilling their beans.

The sing-song rhythm belies the chilling warning crouching like a toothsome dragon within the deftly woven words. Well done, Damian!

We have transitioned from ‘reds under the bed’ to ‘the reds they embed’.
Thanks Damian for a lively piece tackling a serious subject.
