USAID logo (public domain)A Poem on USAID, by Warren Bonham The Society February 5, 2025 Poetry, Satire 24 Comments USAID USAID Mission Statement: On behalf of the American people, we promote and demonstrate democratic values abroad, and advance a free, peaceful, and prosperous world. We are funding a world that’s more peaceful and free through the taxpayer funded USAID, but its nature is hidden behind a facade that disguises a world over which they are god. All their acts would make someone with decency blush as they cynically hide funds they’ve filled up with slush, and they’ve made sure their dollars are all safe to touch, they’re hygienic because they’ve been laundered so much. Every day, they hatch schemes which then birth corporate shells, And from which laundered payments are made to cartels, which earns favors for those at the top of the heap which they need since they have an appearance to keep. We have paid 40 billion for year upon year to inform foreign children they’re probably queer, and to study a science called virology that might tinker with dangerous biology. And we’ve also made payments to pressure the press so they’ll publish what Democrats want them to stress, which sounds fishy to me so I struggle to see how we’re better off with the USAID. . . Reply Margaret Coats February 5, 2025 Because we weren’t paying attention, we’ve been surprised to find out some small portion of what USAID has promoted–with large sums of taxpayer money. A good sketch, Warren, of the “struggle to see” how the world and the American people are better off with this agency at work. Reply Warren Bonham February 6, 2025 Sunlight is slowly but steadily being allowed to work its disinfecting magic. I shudder to think of what will be uncovered next. Reply Bob Elkins February 8, 2025 Like the thousands who will die because a sack of rice, or wheat flour, is no longer available to them? or the thousands who will die of pneumonia, HIV, ebola, etc. because vaccines are no longer available to them? or the US citizens who will die of diseases imported from abroad because they were not confined to country of origin by USAID efforts? You are condemning a large basket of eggs which contains only a few rotten ones. This is nonsense on an evil scale. Mike Bryant February 8, 2025 Bob, sweet Bob. The world you knew no longer exists. Those heady days when Food For Peace actually bought foodstuffs from American farmers and delivered them to needy people all over the world have been replaced by checks from USAID. They write the checks to Far Left religious, political and media NGOs that pocket 98% of the billions and then pay their agents IN those countries who purchase processed foods and distribute them to local tyrants and warlords. Our local highly enriched religious, political, and media institutions then trumpet the views that will keep the checks coming. You, Bob, have simply fallen for the lies. Bob… God bless you. Bob Elkins February 10, 2025 • Crikey Mikey have you been at the psilocybin or mescaline again? How come no-one is reporting on all this corruption? Where’s the proof? Just a reminder, accusations and allegations are not proofs, despite White House rhetoric, right? Here’s just two links to articles to enlighten you: https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=US+aid+in+Africa+videos&mid=90D98DE0D16147363EFD90D98DE0D16147363EFD&FORM=VIRE https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/04/world/usaid-us-foreign-aid-freeze-humanitarian-crises-intl/index.html I can and will provide more if you so desire. You do understand that sometimes money is the correct form of aid, yes? But that is a minor part of US Aid’s expenditures, which are in total less than 1% of the US annual budget. I agree that the lack of transparency of US Aid actions is grounds for enquiry and explanation, and that corruption may be active in some cases (and to be prosecuted), but to tear down an entire agency on suspicions alone is both foolish and stupid. The good that is done by US Aid worldwide promotes goodwill toward the US and prevents our enemies from having influence in many nations which are strategically important to us. The loss of activity in certain African nations may lead to another pandemic reaching the US and the world because of outbreaks occurring there right now – is that OK with you? On the other hand, the Chinese and Russians, who have been actively seeking influence in those same areas where US Aid has been doing so much good, are applauding the discontinuation of US Aid activities. You can be sure they will have replaced our operations by Spring of this year and thus eliminated the US from access to the great mineral and oil assets those nations possess as well as strategic military bases, never mind the deaths they will cause due to starvation and lack of medical treatment. Isn’t it interesting that Sen. Marco Rubio was a strong proponent of US Aid’s activities during his entire tenure as a senator, including proposed bills to increase transparency, etc., but almost completely reversed that stance after his nomination for Sec. of State? Surely the stench of that flip-flop reaches your nostrils too? That pretty much sums up the present administration in my eyes, how’s by yours? Mike Bryant February 10, 2025 Sorry, Bob… mescaline and psilocybin are so yesterday… I get off on the heady rush of truth. You are right, though… the mainstream media is feverishly trying to cover the stench since they are such a big part of it. Also, as for accusations and allegations, please, that goes both ways. So no thanks on the additional links… all your sources have been compromised. Less than 1% of the Federal Budget, huh… the federal budget is 7 TRILLION so I make 1% of that 70 BILLION DOLLARS!!!! I see your point… chickenfeed. Also, I hardly see how funding transgenderism and division in Africa can ever help Americans. I think the situation in South Africa today, proves the opposite. Speaking of Africa, Ilhan Omar is now worth almost a $100,000,000!!! So I guess it is helping Africa a little… Thanks for the courtesy of an answer. I do know that things can go horribly off the rails, but USAID and many other government agencies have become slush funds for the politically connected. The monies are also used for regime change… that worked out great in Iraq, right? I can remember when war was a bad thing. We live in a topsy-turvy world… the news sources you trust and cite push war, top-down government and all manner of idiocy and perversion. They are actually paid by the government insiders that determine how you must think. I get it… it took a while for the American people to wake up. The price of freedom really Is eternal vigilance. Will the American people turn things around? I think it’s too early to call, but your interesting note does not give me much hope. Like I said, God bless you, Bob. Charity begins at home. Mike Bryant February 5, 2025 Warren, I love the poem and I love the fact that you are calling out the HUGE corruption machine known as USAID… a very misleading name. Glen Beck has been calling out these guys for over ten years. Their MO has been explained by Glen Beck many times… it goes something like this. First USAID comes up with a project and funds to be undertaken in a poor foreign land… say 30 million dollars to train Afghan women in agriculture. Then the funds are dispersed to NGOs, including large religious NGOs. The NGOs then hire all manner of experts and connected ne’er do wells, to start passing out the money. Of course, the NGOs must first kick back a huge percentage of the funds to Senators, Congressmen, and, yes, Presidents and Vice-presidents of the USA to fund their lifestyles and their re-election campaigns. Ever wondered why our politicians never ever go back home, but simply warm huge chairs in huge marble buildings until they can’t speak or walk? Next the NGOs must hire and pay the experts to run the schemes, and of course pay the connected and the NGOs’ employees wages and expenses. By this time there really isn’t much money left for them to pass out… they make sure of that. Now… it turns out that whether any of the money ever gets to where it was meant to go really doesn’t matter that much because no has ever been minding the store. When some congressmen DO investigate… nobody ever finds out anything at all. I wonder why? It turns out that most of the political beneficiaries of this immoral and illegal largesse are on the left side of the divide… BUT there are enough on the right side, that IF our representatives do hold a vote to STOP the bleeding of the people’s money there will be enough Republicans that will form a voting block with the Democrats to shut down the closure of USAID. I have only given a brief outline of the shenanigans… there is much, much more to it. There is a short, interesting article here: https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/02/voices-of-sanity-on-usaid.php The article, and the comments, illuminates some of the darkness of our Spook/Religious/Political/Military/Science/Medical/Pharma/Expert Industrial Complex. But that is only 50 Billion or so… shut it down and the money will just move to one of the many other departments that are playing similar games with our money. If you really want to help the poor… give money to them. No matter how much you send they will get it all… not the pennies on the thousand dollar bill they are getting from our taxes through USAID and our caring government. Reply Warren Bonham February 6, 2025 I’m behind the times. Thanks for the education. That TikTok video was an eye-opener. Information like that somehow never seems to make it to the surface. Reply Mike Bryant February 6, 2025 Well Warren… the problem is not that the information never surfaces. Glen Beck has been making this clear for ten years. Dr. Salemi and many others here have been fighting this fight for fifty years. Everybody knows what is going on. We know how the Nazi Regime subverted the churches with stipends. We know it all. It has been uncovered many, many times. The real problem is all the brainwashing that has been going along WITH that money. Here is a video of some effective brain washing: https://rumble.com/v6bvsup-watch-trumps-face-as-woke-bishop-uses-prayer-service-to-push-lgbt-illegals.html The problem is that warm fuzzy feeling that these religious leaders and political leaders give to their followers. They don’t think of the millions of children that have been and are being sex-trafficked… the children killed… the children mutilated. The oh-so-righteous, oh-so-informed, oh-so-caring, oh-so-holier-than-thou types will never admit that they, too, are sex-traffickers of millions of children every year because of their support and defense of these money-driven low-lives. The heavenly hosts must be wringing their hands in horror at all the rising hosannas from these virtue-signaling sophists. Joseph S. Salemi February 6, 2025 It’s like the hierarchies of our mainstream churches, both Catholic and Protestant, who have collected millions from the government by cooperating in the invasion of our country by illegal aliens. I’m sick of hearing shit from USCCB bishops about “welcoming the stranger,” when what they are really welcoming is a fat paycheck from the U.S. Treasury. Reply Warren Bonham February 6, 2025 Another topic that I’m behind on. The curtain seems to be slowly lifting (no thanks to the media) so we can see what’s really been going on. It reminds me of what Corrie ten Boom once said about “in darkness God’s truth shines most clear”. The truth can’t be hidden forever, but unfortunately it doesn’t always get exposed on our timeline. Reply Roy Eugene Peterson February 6, 2025 Perfectly timed poem with President Trump upending USAID and its purported mission in the last few days. I understand programs have been stopped and workers recalled as it goes through a three-month review and overhaul. Reply Warren Bonham February 6, 2025 It sounds like USAID started (as many things do in Washington) with very good intentions. I’ll pass on the message the South Sudanese and Sudanese I know who are living day to day in fear of their lives, eating once a day, or stuck in neighbouring countries in refugee camps. Imagine if anyone glibly talked about 9/11 in such terms back in the day. Mike Bryant February 10, 2025 Paul, I think it’s funny that you don’t realize what is happening. Sudan and South Sudan have huge oil reserves. When South Sudan gained independence in 2011, it took about 75% of the region’s oil reserves, but Sudan retained the export infrastructure. The control and flow of oil have led to ongoing disputes. Oil companies have been involved in the region, and financial interests have influenced policies and alliances. China, Turkey, Russia, Serbia, UAE, Iran, Yemen, USAID and the CIA have all been linked to the supply of arms to factions in Sudan and South Sudan. Arms manufactures, stockholders and the countries listed above, all benefit from prolonged instability due to increased arms sales. Financial, corporate and WEF interests have influenced these decisions to either pressure or support certain factions. While a few NGOs do humanitarian work, the influx that large-scale aid operations brings into war-torn regions always ends up funding the armed groups. Every nation I listed has supported different factions in conflicts, in the past, to maintain leverage over resource-rich regions. This is just more of the same. If you’re really concerned about the poor… STOP THE MONEY AND STOP THE WARS pretty simple really… Is it glib for me to point out the simple facts? It’s better than the bilge you’re spouting. You’re the guy that thinks the Carrier Pigeon suffered a “genocide.” Paul A. Freeman February 14, 2025 And you’re the guy, Mike, that wrote me an all caps diatribe to my personal email because I don’t align myself with the MAGA-minded. Reply Joseph S.
