Will they preface Broad displays of kindness to complete this hopeful painting? Righteous souls endeavor, far and wide, to sow their virtue, As the air of conscience faces stifling fumes of hating That have thrived on wastelands, born of selfishness, and surge to Insult heaven… Wisdom’s lavish gardens wait to follow On Tomorrow’s outlook – Will our New Year joy converge to Nurture goodwill’s blooming? Spurring change or proving hollow? Daniel Magdalen is a graduate student in the Faculty of Letters at the University of Bucharest, in Romania.
