Back in the day I was a boob For hours I’d sit in front of the tube But now my smartphone has unshackled me! Damn! I just walked into a tree! The Gulls The tide retreats And piers emerge The choicest seats And gulls converge And once each has Its chosen place The tide rolls in Each gull to chase Joe Tessitore is a retired New York City resident and poet.
