‘Smile’ by Kylee Draper The Society December 27, 2013 Beauty, Poetry 1 Comment It spreads like wildfire when you give a smile. At first you won’t really notice at all, But if you wait patiently for a small while, You’ll notice that each domino will fall. In the smile you see happiness and love, So you smile back even if it hurts you to. Soon the smile begins to fit like a glove, And you know that this smile is so true. It’s the beauty of the smile that’s so right. Sometimes a smile is all that it will take, If it’s a true smile you see without light, It just might save a life instead of take. So smile at that stranger, or at a friend. It may make a difference in the end. Kylee Draper is a poet living in Utah. Featured Image: “Little Thief” by William Bouguereau.
