"The Bay of Naples at Moonlight" by Ivan Aivazovsky‘Night Watch’ by Jordan Hege The Society February 18, 2018 Beauty, Poetry 19 Comments Tonight, I saw the moon Stalking me, watching me Hiding surreptitiously. She knows I know she’s there She knows I do not care Reasons for and reasons why Curious, bold, or wee bit shy, A game, perhaps she feels So silently she steals Tonight, I saw the moon. Jordan Hege lives in a small rural town in southern Georgia where he grew up in a family of eight. Previously a carpenter, like his father, he now works in a specialty foods production business during the day, and pursues a psychology degree at night. Reply Wendy Bourke February 20, 2018 Love the way that you have ‘book-ended’ this wonderfully rhymed – rather mesmerizing piece, with a repeated line. And I think it is the first time I recall the moon being personified as a ‘she’. Awesome! Reply Jordan February 25, 2018 I really appreciate your reply. Reply Jordan March 18, 2018 You are welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it Reply Joella Wadel April 15, 2018 The acquaintance with nature is astonishing and yet there is a tension between the person of the moon and yourself. I understand this interaction and like your rendition of it.
