Discrimination by Who?

YMCA basketball for 7-year olds

It’s not the least bit personal,
But kids who have no skills at all,
Will often seem to find themselves
Without much chance to touch the ball.

Still one dad, very angrily,
Chose bitter confrontation,
Proclaiming kids and coaches guilty
Of discrimination.

Another parent said to him
There was no bias on the squad,
The sole discrimination being
Skills denied his son by God.

Reward

Writing lots of poetry
Brings many a reward,
But none of them are greater than
So rarely being bored.

Fake News Actors

Forsaking news roles
With activist goals,
They blithely impart
Performative art.

Marital Possessions

Men like keeping stuff about,
But wives would rather throw it out.

Yes Roy, from experience. Twenty years of the kids’ youth sports turned into a poetry factory. Thanks!

    Marital Possessions (Addendum)

    Men like keeping stuff about,
But wives would rather throw it out.
You wanting to dump her stuff
May cause her words to be rough.
So squelch it! Don’t make her shout.
