The Biden Oil Refrain

As President, on his first day,
He closed old Keystone down,
Then shut off Arctic drilling,
Forty-thousand jobs left town.

He cancelled key oil leases,
Barred new highly needed ones,
And then was shocked gas prices saw
Inflationary runs.

“C’mon man” he begged OPEC,
“Please give us a lot more oil,”
With vows he’d do Obama bows
To any Mideast royal.

Amidst claims of a mandate
To be “following the science,”
In ten months self-sufficiency
Had sunk to sheer reliance.

But still Jen Psaki adamantly
Redirected blame,
Trump’s ending oil dependence
Was “the true cause” of our shame.

Change

Each thing I’ve done that made life worse,
In such a mournful way,
Lord please give me the common sense
To not repeat today.

    Dear Russel,
History is recorded in the arts, and these are excellent examples of this shameful time… Thank you !

Thanks Sally. The illogic of this administration’s energy policy is just staggering.

It’s even worse than that, Russel. The other day Psaki said that rising oil prices might be a good thing, because that could drive people toward greener sources of energy. That’s how these fools think. They will do anything to deter prosperity, in the hope that people will always be dependent on government hand-outs. The government has no money other than that which it prints or steals from you and me. The current administration is a foul perversion of good government. Maybe someone can tell us to which circle of the Inferno these putative humans are headed.

Psaki does have a remarkable comfort level with dishonest or nonsensical comments.

      • C.B. Anderson

Yes, indeed, Russel. Dishonesty and nonsense are specialties that have been perfected by Democrat politicians and functionaries.

The oil poem is a direct hit! Thank you for it!

I cannot think of one other country in the history of the world that would leave its vast natural resources in the ground, specifically so that it could become weak and dependent on the (non-existent) mercy of others nations.

We have become a nation of cuckolds.

Thanks Paul. The support for this self-destructive policy just baffles me.

Paul — that’s why we call timorous and timeserving conservatives “cuckservatives.” That includes George Will, RINO Republicans, the editors at The National Review, and anyone else who still thinks that we can sit around and debate reasonably and calmly while our culture is being gutted,

Well done! 🙂 This poem undoubtedly captures how one man’s lousy leadership is affecting a multitude of citizens. It demonstrates how our nation is suffering as a result of Biden’s sheer incompetence. Overall, this poem contains every bit of insight that the Biden Administration is lacking.

Russel, you are the poetic voice of common sense in an ever-increasingly insane world, and I thank you for your literary sanity.

So funny! Sanity is overrated – I’m speaking from personal experience.
