angel on a grave (Acabashi)‘I Saw An Angel Weeping’: A Poem by Michael Walker The Society December 13, 2024 Beauty, Poetry 6 Comments . I Saw An Angel Weeping I saw an angel weeping In the graveyard by the brook, Her silent vigil keeping, Yet when I turned to look, She spread her wings before me To shield me on my way, And thus, did she implore me To remember my dying day. Now, when I stop and listen, I still can hear her sighs, And see her sweet eyes glisten, Reminding me time flies. . . Michael Walker hails from Southern California. After earning his master’s degree from the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, he worked as a Scientist for the United States Navy. His poetry has been featured in Joie de Vivre, and his debut novel, Galahad, was published by En Route Books and Media in 2024.
