"Garden Party" by de VeldeAn Easter Poem: ‘In the Garden of the King’ by Roy E. Peterson The Society April 19, 2025 Beauty, Culture, Poetry 14 Comments . In the Garden of the King In the garden of the King I sit beside a crystal spring. The Tree of Life shines up above Fed by God’s eternal love. The Rose of Sharon is in bloom Freely giving sweet perfume. Friends and loved ones everywhere. The King is near! We see him there! Angels’ voices start to sing Hallelujahs to Christ the King. Our hearts rejoice, our voices raise Their tones to join the angels’ praise. What an amazing way to feel. I know by faith that it is real. A vast reward for loyalty— I am reborn to royalty. . . What a way to set the scene for Easter! Your last lines and final rhyme focus on the great promise of rebirth that we see in Our Lord’s resurrection. It is indeed a promise of royal rebirth for those who are loyal. Best wishes for Easter’s rewarding manifestation in yourself and in all those friends and loved ones you mention!
