We don’t do love poetry because there is so much of it out there and it tends to be very narrow and personal in perspective and scope (ironically very unfeeling toward general readers). None of our rules are absolute though. If you have something you think is good, send it in. Reply Tom Dodge December 22, 2014 I write in classical forms; lately, the subjects have consisted of 20th century iconography in a group called “Profiles in Rhythm.” They are lengthy by modern standards but hardly so by classical standards. The only one I sent out, “Don Muhammad,” was published in “Aethlon, A Sports Literature Journal,” Fall, 2013 (I think). I would like to send two or three for your consideration. My hope is to come out with all 14 in a volume, with illustrations. I’m a former NPR commentator at KERA in Dallas and book reviewer, Dallas Morning News. Books of mine get good coverage in Texas and two are still in print. I’m a member of Texas Institute of Letters.
